Luck and Logic was first announced in Japan on November 17, 2015 and since then, Bushiroad has been demoing it at Asian events to drive interest and gather feedback. From the demos, there was a lot of requests for an English version, which seems to have accelerated Bushiroad’s plans. “Over 4,000 players worldwide have participated in the “Luck & Logic” demonstration sessions with Japanese edition cards at events such as Anime Festival Asia 2015 and Comic Fiesta 2015”. Bushiroad goes on, “The overwhelming positive feedback and demand for the game to be in English has spurred the release of the English edition Luck & Logic”.
Bushiroad briefly explains the background mechanic for the game, “A key point of the game is to have two types of characters, “foreigners” and “logicalist”. They combine together to become a stronger character. The mechanic of combining is known as “trance”.
They also gave a quick overview to the animated series, “The animation plot revolves around Sci-Fi “bishojo” battle action with “Trance” as the theme within the world of Luck & Logic.
